Hello, my name is Andrea Dawson Barragán and I’m licensed in clinical psychology by the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. I’ve previously been involved in community projects and I am currently dedicated to attending in my private psychological office.
My experiences range from a diverse variety of cases, though I hold a special interest, and therefore emphasize much of my work, in regards to the LGBTIQ+ community. Because of this, it’s important to me that you know that this is a safe place for you, and everyone else as well. If you would like to know more, I’ll refer you to an interview I did for the blog of America TV.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who do you attend??
I’m able to attend every person who is over 18 who speaks Spanish and/or English.
How do you do it?
For those who are unable to meet face to face, I’m also available via online consults. For a number of different reasons, it might be harder for some to physically bring themselves to an appointment. That’s why I take advantage of technology so that we are able to meet in the form of virtual sessions, through calls or video meets.
What hours are you available?
I’m available monday through friday, from 9 a.m to 8 p.m.
Where do you attend to your patients?
My private office is located between the border of San Isidro and Jesús Maria (I’ll provide you with a referencial map.)
How long is each session?
Each session lasts 45 minutes
How many sessions do I need a week?
Usually, I see my patients once a week, however, there are times when it’s necessary to come 2 or 3 times a week for a period of time. That decision will always be taken between you and I, evaluating your individual situation and taking into account different variables.
How much does a session cost?
Each session in English costs 100 peruvian soles or 35$ (American Dollars), and the payment should be realized by the end of the month. The cost remains the same regardless of how the session has been realized, whether it be a present or online consult. For this, different methods of payment are available: transfer via bank (BCP), Yape or Pling.
